Here at Western Training, we cover skills pertaining to planning and preparing for operations, conducting machine pre-operational checks, operating the Roller, compacting and sealing work site areas, operational techniques, removing and fitting attachments, carrying out machine operational maintenance and housekeeping requirements.
The unit consists of a theoretical assessment to be completed, practical observations witnessed by a qualified assessor, followed by the completion of job cards relating to the practical skills performed.
Western Training can provide training for operators of all skill levels:
1 day course (8 hour day)
We are a nationally recognised training organisation, candidates that successfully complete the course will be provided with a statement of attainment and competency card for RIIMPO317F – Conduct roller operations.
Practical assessments and VOC (verification of competency) can be performed at the candidate’s worksite provided adequate machinery is available to conduct the assessment.
Requirements
Must have good verbal and written comprehension of the English language
Must have good general health and fitness for practicals
Must wear long sleeved shirt, long leg pants and steel cap boots
Must hold a USI (unique student identifier) number.
