Course Overview
Work Safely at Heights is part of our General Courses training delivery we provide as an individual unit. This is a good ticket for those looking to enter the construction or mining industries.
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to work safely at heights in the resources and infrastructure industries. It applies to those working in operational roles. They generally work under supervision to undertake a prescribed range of functions involving known routines and procedures and take responsibility for the quality of work outcomes.

- Plan and prepare for working in confined space
- Work in confined space
- Exit confined space
- Clean up
Western Training provides training for individuals of all skill levels. Our training is conducted at a specialised facility designed to simulate a live work site to ensure a seamless transition from a training environment to an active work site.

Delivery
The unit consists of a theoretical and practical assessment witnessed by a qualified assessor.
Verification of Competency

Requirements
- Must have good verbal and written comprehension of the English language
- Must have good general health and fitness for practicals
- Must wear long sleeved shirt, long leg pants and steel cap boots
- Must hold a USI (unique student identifier) number.

Language, Literacy and Numeracy
Training may be adjusted for participants with language, literacy and numeracy issues to ensure no candidate is at a disadvantage in completing this course. Please inform our office at the time of booking your course if you experience any language, literacy or numeracy issues.
