Course Overview
Conduct Water Vehicle Operations is part of our Plant Operations training delivery we provide as an individual unit. The Water Vehicle is also known as a Water Cart. This is a good ticket for those looking to enter the civil construction industry or become a plant operator.
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to load, haul and distribute water using a water vehicle.
This unit covers:
- Plan and prepare for water vehicle operations
- Operate water vehicle in line with established requirements
- Load, haul and distribute water to complete work activity
- Conduct housekeeping activities
Western Training provides training for operators of all skill levels. Our training is conducted at a specialised facility designed to simulate a live work site to ensure a seamless transition from a training environment to an active work site.

Delivery
The unit consists of a theoretical and practical assessment witnessed by a qualified assessor.

Requirements
- Must have good verbal and written comprehension of the English language
- Must have good general health and fitness for practicals
- Must wear long sleeved shirt, long leg pants and steel cap boots
- Must hold a USI (unique student identifier) number.
