Course Overview
Conduct Roller Operations is part of our Plant Operations training delivery we provide as an individual unit. The Roller is also known as a Compactor or Smooth Drum Roller. This is a good ticket for those looking to enter the civil construction industry or become a plant operator.
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to operate a roller to compact material. This unit applies to those working in site based roles. This unit alone does not provide sufficient skill to independently load and unload equipment. To perform this activity safely, personnel must either complete or be assisting someone who has completed RIIHAN308F Load and unload plant or equivalent.
This unit covers:
- Plan and prepare roller operations
- Operate roller in line with established requirements to complete work activity
- Prepare to relocate the roller
- Conduct housekeeping activities
Western Training provides training for operators of all skill levels. Our training is conducted at a specialised facility designed to simulate a live work site to ensure a seamless transition from a training environment to an active work site.
