Course Overview
Licence to Perform Rigging Basic Level is part of our High Risk training delivery we provide as an individual unit. This is a good ticket for those looking to enter the construction or mining industries.
This unit specifies the skills and knowledge required to safely perform basic rigging work. Riggers use mechanical load shifting equipment and associated gear to move, place or secure loads, including plant, equipment or members of a structure. Riggers ensure the stability of those members and set up and dismantle hoists. Rigging work is undertaken in construction and other industries where load shifting equipment is used to move, place or secure loads.
This unit has a pre-requisite requirement. This requirement may be met by either the successful completion of the unit CPCCLDG3001 Licence to perform dogging or holding a valid licence for dogging. Competence in this unit does not in itself result in a licence. A licence is obtained after competence is assessed under applicable Commonwealth, state or territory work health and safety (WHS) regulations.
A person performing this work is required to hold a High-Risk Work Licence (HRWL). Competence in this unit, does not in itself result in a HRWL. New HRWL applications incur a fee of $90.00, existing HRWL applications incur a fee of $45.10, Interstate transfer or the renewal of a HRWL incur a fee of $135.10 + $15.00 for a passport photo. Each of the above incur an additional $25.00 processing fee.
