This unit specifies the skills and knowledge required to safely operate a slewing mobile crane with a Maximum Rated Capacity (MRC) up to 20 tonnes in accordance with all relevant legislative responsibilities.

A person performing this work is required to hold a slewing mobile crane with a MRC up to 20 tonnes HRWL. New HRWL applications incur a fee of $90.00, existing HRWL applications incur a fee of $45.10, Interstate transfer or the renewal of a HRWL incur a fee of $135.10 + $15.00 for a passport photo. Each of the above incur an additional $25.00 processing fee.

Slewing mobile crane means a mobile crane incorporating a boom or jib that can be slewed, but does not include:

  • A front-end loader, or
