Course Overview
Conduct Articulated Haul Truck Operations is part of our Plant Operations training delivery we provide as an individual unit. The Articulated Haul Truck is also known as a Moxy or Articulating Dump Truck. This is a good ticket for those looking to enter the civil construction industry or become a plant operator.
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to operate, load, haul and dump materials using an articulated haul truck. This unit applies to those who work in operational roles. This unit applies to both front and rear dumping haul trucks.

- Plan and prepare for articulated haul operations
- Operate articulated haul truck in line with established requirements
- Load, haul and dump materials to complete work activity
- Conduct housekeeping activities
Western Training provides training for operators of all skill levels. Our training is conducted at a specialised facility designed to simulate a live work site to ensure a seamless transition from a training environment to an active work site.

Delivery
The unit consists of a theoretical and practical assessment witnessed by a qualified assessor.

Requirements
- Must have good verbal and written comprehension of the English language
- Must have good general health and fitness for practicals
- Must wear long sleeved shirt, long leg pants and steel cap boots
- Must hold a USI (unique student identifier) number.

Language, Literacy and Numeracy
