Western Training in conjunction with its local employer’s support people through training to ensure jobseekers can achieve meaningful employment. We have developed a targeted entry level construction training package that runs over two weeks that we are calling the Empowering Employment Programme.
The programme directly reflects our company values of access and equity, and we are passionate about doing the right thing for all people. Our team is committed to providing high quality training and a range of support services, including students lunches, adequate training so that participants have successful outcomes and to create employment opportunities for successful students.
Our first instalment saw 9 of 10 students employed prior to the end of the programme, employment ranged from forklift operations for Bunnings Wearhouse to labouring on Civil Construction site.
We are very excited to be running this programme, not only do we help increase employment opportunities for jobseekers, but we also aid in gaining and maintaining work placements for students.
We pride ourselves on the values and provision of access, equity and inclusion, we believe everyone has the right to meaningful employment and we are happy to provide these opportunities for people who are eager to learn!
